Dr. Hachimura his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo. He was appointed as Associate Professor at Department of Applied Biological Chemistry, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the University of Tokyo in 1998. He moved to the Research Center of Food Safety, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the University of Tokyo in 2008. He received the Japanese Association for Food Immunology Award in 2009.
Dr. Hachimura is interested in immunomodulation by food and means to prevent and attenuate food allergy.
