GPES welcomes the new autumn class of 2014!
On Wednesday 1st October 2014, President Junichi Hamada welcomed this year's new PEAK and GPEAK (GPES and GSP) students to the University of Tokyo at a special welcome reception held at Komaba campus. Prof. Jonathan Woodward from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences was host for the event, which also saw a speech from the Dean of the College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Ishii Yojiro.
The new PEAK and GPEAK students had a chance to introduce themselves and one of them, Mr. Amaël Cognacq gave a speech on behalf of the new class. The students were then introduced to members of the PEAK and GPEAK faculty and were welcomed by Mr. Hikaru Kawarazaki and Mr. Samuel Brustad on behalf of Todai Global Interaction Friends (TGIF). After a photo session, it was off for tea, coffee and cakes and a chance to get to know each other and the University staff. This week is orientation week for all new PEAK and GPEAK students before classes begin on the 6th October.
